This Privacy Notice has been prepared by Brainiac Knowledge Management Inc. and sets out the manner in which Brainiac collects, uses, discloses and otherwise manages personal information, including information collected through our website located at www.brainiackm.com (“Website”), and through other interactions with executives and other individuals.
Collection and Use of Personal Information

You do not have to register to visit and browse certain features of the Website, such as to access the resource centre or to read other content portions of the Website.
Profile Information: If you chose to create a Brain Pool Profile on the Website, we collect additional personal information in order to assist us in matching you with companies that fit your preferences, experience and style. This information includes job-related information (such as area of expertise, years of experience, seniority, industries, and former employers), skills that you select, and your responses to questions which we use to assist us in determining your professional attributes and cultural fit. We also collect your job preferences, such as type of role you are seeking, availability, size of company, location, travel preferences, compensation expectations, and other criteria for matching purposes.
Email and other Communications: If you agree to receive communications from Brainiac, we collect certain personal information (such as first and last name, email address or mobile phone number) which we use to send you email, SMS text messages and other communications containing Brainiac updates, tips, and other content that may be of interest to you. You can opt-out of receiving promotional email from us by following the opt-out or “unsubscribe” instructions provided in your email or text message, or by contacting us as set out below. Please note that you may continue to receive transactional and account-related electronic messages from us.
Marketing Research: From time to time, we may offer you the opportunity to participate in one of our surveys or other customer research. The information obtained through our surveys and customer research is used in an aggregated, non-personally identifiable form. We use this information to help us understand our customers, to enhance our product and service offerings, promotions and events, and/or to assist in the selection of event locations.
Employment through Brainiac: In connection with a job application or related inquiry regarding potential employment through Brainiac, you may provide us with certain personal information about yourself (such as that contained in a resume, cover letter, or similar employment-related materials). We use this information only for the particular application.
Customer Service: When you contact us with a comment, question or complaint, you may be asked for information that identifies you (such as your name, address and a phone number) along with additional information we need to help us promptly answer your question or respond to your comment or complaint. We may also retain this information to assist you in the future and to improve our customer service, product and service offerings, and events and promotions.
Sharing of Personal Information
We will not disclose, trade, rent, sell or otherwise transfer your personal information, without your consent.
Legal Requirements: Brainiac may provide your personal information in response to a search warrant or other legally valid inquiry or order, or to an organization in the case of a breach of an agreement or contravention of law, or as otherwise required or permitted by applicable Canadian law. We have personal information retention processes designed to retain personal information for no longer than necessary for the purposes stated above or to otherwise meet legal requirements.
Access & Correction
You may access, update and correct inaccuracies in your personal information in our custody or control at any time by filling in and submitting an update form on the Website, subject to limited exceptions prescribed by law.

We may request certain personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the individual seeking access to their personal information records.
